Free Online Training from Lynda.com In an effort to keep our members competitive and highly skilled, Local 1220 has acquired (5) training licenses from Lynda.com. This website is currently being used to train IBEW members in New York & Los Angeles. Lynda.com contains online training courses for over 650 programs. Please peruse this site for a complete list. Any member is free to use this benefit for a (10) day period, but only (5) members at one time have the ability to login. During your (10) day use, the member can utilize their "subscription" 24-7 and learn as many programs as you want. We will be establishing "firm dates" for sign-ups (3) times a month ie: November 1st to the10th, November 11th - 20th, November 21st -30th, etc. There will be an automatic signup form that will show you what "10 day block" is available. On the first day you will be activated and get sent an email. If you do not "activate" your usage immediately, you will just simply take away from your allotted time. It is your block of time. This means that (15) members per month, will be able to utilize this free benefit from your union. We will announce when this procedure takes effect. BUT in the meantime.... To add your name to the list as how it was originally established, please click the below link. Fill out the form. The automated form will be generated and sent to the union office with a time/date stamp. This time/date stamp will ensure your position in line and you will be notified in advance before your activation period.
