What is the
significance of this Plan?
- This plan allows you to take PRE-TAX deductions from any of
our participating employers.
- Pre-Tax deductions allow you to purchase significantly more
benefits for the same money.
- This coverage is provided at group rates!
- This is a multi-union, as well as multi-employer plan, that means
that if you work for CBS or WBBM-TV, NBC, ABC and WFLD-TV or Fox Sports in
addition to our Local 1220 Employers, all of your contributions will be
going into the same account!
- Several different health insurance options are available.
o
You may choose
the Blue Cross PPO plan you want, or
o
You may continue
an existing individual (non-group rated) plan, or
o
You may continue
coverage under a spousal plan
and
- Have your premiums made PRE-TAX through voluntary deductions.
- Once you qualify (or if you already have health insurance) YOU
choose which additional benefits are important to you and for your family!
- In the event the your pre-tax contributions and Employer
contributions are not sufficient to pay the full premiums for the plan
options you select, you may also make additional after-tax contributions
to make up the difference.
Who is this plan for?
- If you are currently without coverage
- If you are covered through a spouse's plan which requires monthly
co-payments from you
- If you are covered under an individual (non-group) plan and want
group rates
- If you want to add other types of coverage available under this
plan to your existing health plan, including Child and Dependant Care
- If you want to pay for your insurance in PRE-TAX dollars
